SMALL TALK
Small Talk is an installation project held in Forest Park, MO. Design elements include a banner and small takeaway page with project information. Small Talk was the beginning of my 4 month long capstone project, done the following spring.

Small Talk investigates how community members explore Forest Park—whether it be walking, biking, people watching, or just hanging out. I brough my living room furniture into the park to create a cozy, sit down experience for participants. Totaling about 5 hours, I spoke to 10+, some who allowed the interview to be recorded and some who did not. Interviewees selected a question from 1 of 2 jars, a longer or shorter question relating to their experience in the park. One of the participants, Frank Trampe, would later stay involved with my capstone project Routes/Roots giving me a tour of the National Building Museum in Sauget, IL and providing me with archival photos.
