24 HOURS AT THE GOLDEN APPLE
24 Hours in the Golden Apple documents a dynamic range of characters who frequent the Golden Apple Diner in Chicago, IL. This story was originally covered by This American Life in 2000, when reporters Ira Glass and Nancy Updike spent a full 24 hours at the diner.

Each short sheet page is printed with a risograph, emulating the retro aesthetic often associated with American diners. The large pages feature photographs by the artist Leah Frances, taken from her series, Love Poems. The short sheet inclusions play on the often mismatched format of diner menus. Spiral bound, colorstock from French Paper.

Documentation photos taken at the Courtesty Diner in St. Louis, MO.
